Somalia: Ahlu Sunna Declares All-Out War Against Al Shabaab

Dhusamareb — Somalia's moderate Islamist group of Ahlu Sunna Waljama on Saturday declared it will launch a decisive offensive against al Qaeda's surrogate in the country.
Addressing to a crowd of people in the Dusamareb town, the provincial capital of central Somalia region of Galgudud, Sheikh Mohamed Yusuf Hefow, the chairman of Ahlu Sunna's executive council said the all out-war is aimed at clearing al Shabaab militants in central Somalia.

"All Ahlu Sunna forces were well prepared and equipped with all kinds of weapons have the ability to do so" he stated.
Hefow urged the residents in the region to get ready to join in Ahlu Sunna's decisive assault against what he called the enemy of Somalia.
He also named several members in the group who will work with him in the new battle planned to launch soon.
The designated members are included Abdi Dahir Mohamed Ahmed, attaché for defense, Warsan Abdurrahman Hassan for foreign affairs, Abdulkadir Sheikh Hassan Jama for interior affairs, Osman Mohamoud Osoble for finance, Hussein Arif Sheikh Ali for religious affairs, Abdurrahman Farah Hussan for health and Abdinasir Hassan Hirsi for treasury.
