Kampala (RBC) Ugandan police has issued new alert on planed bomb explosions in the main cities of Uganda.
Kale Kayihura, Ugandan Police chief warned that al Shabab rebel group of Somalia are planning attempts of terror explosions in Uganda same like those made in July 2010.
He said that police forces were out every place including the country’s borders where surveillance operation will be conducted.
He also urged the Ugandan citizens to be extra alert especially while in hotels and shopping centers where he described as dangerous places for explosions.
Uganda is the biggest contributor of African union Mission in Somalia AMISOM and currently 4,500 Uganda armed forces are fighting alongside Somalia government forces in the capital, Mogadishu against the Al Shabab rebels who are battling to overthrow the government.
Al Shabab claimed the responsibility of a July bombing in Uganda capital, Kampala that killed 76 people.
Al Shabab spokesman said the attack was an act of revenge to AMISOM mission in Somalia.
