MOGADISHU (Mareeg) – The African Union peacekeeping mission in Somalia AMISOM on Sunday said that they are not concern about Al shabaab terrorist plots against them.
In an exclusive interview with mareeg, Prosper Hakizimana,the deputy spokesman for African Union forces in Somalia said Al shabaab suicide attacks will not affect their operations in bringing peace back to war-torn Somalia.
Mr. Hakizimana added that the capacity and military power of Al shabaab had been already weakened, saying they are pathetic right now and that why they proffered to commit what he called coward terrorist attacks.
Asked about why they deserted key military bases in Makka Al Mukarrama road, the spokesman noted that they took over more territories from the rebels, and moved to those positions to assure the security there
