The ugandan government has this evening reacted to the new video titled Kony 2012 released by invisible children, a US charity that seeks to raise the plight of children under the under the hands of the LRA leader joseph Kony. In a statement from the Uganda media centre, the government said it welcomed efforts that could contribute towards the arrest of Kony and elimination of LRA. The statement however cautioned that the latest campaign should not be misinterpreted to mean either Kony or LRA were active in Uganda.
