Somalia: Government soldiers on their vehicle attacked with bomb explosion in Mogadishu

Mogadishu (Mareeg)-Soldiers of the Somali Transitional Federal Government on board was attacked with hand bomb explosion this afternoon in Mogadishu injuring 3 civilians, eyewitness said.

The bomb attack occurred at a very busy junction named Benadir in the capital Mogadishu where an armed government vehicle was passing but soldiers escaped from the blast injuring 3 civilians including a woman, eyewitness told Mareeg late this afternoon.

The injured ones were taken to Madina hospital, close to Benadir junction.

“Every one ran from the scene where the explosion took place to the closest place to hide him/her self because I was afraid of that government troops would open fire causing other casualties”. Eye witness said who refused his name to be used in the media.

This is the second attack that government forces on board attacked in this junction and this occurs in 2 weeks’ period.
