Heavy rains are expected to hit the coastal and North Eastern regions starting Friday.

A flood alert has been issued by the Kenya Meteorological Department.
The rains are expected to last at least four days in Mombasa, Kwale, Lamu, and Tana River and at least two days in Mandera, Marsabit and Wajir.
The advisory stated, “The rains are likely to cause flooding in low lying areas near the coastline
