Somali Journalist wounded in Mogadishu

Mogadishu (Alshahid)-A Somali radio journalist was Sunday evening wounded by unknown gunmen in Mogadishu.
Witnesses said two gunmen armed with pistols shot and seriously wounded Mohamed Mohamud Tuuryare, a radio producer with Shabelle Media, at Hawo Tako area of Wadajir district near his home.
He was immediately rushed to Madina hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment.
No group claimed the responsibility of the attack.
Fifteen journalists in Somalia have been killed over the past 10 months. Five journalists were killed in a suicide bombing of a Mogadishu restaurant last month.
Somalia is the worst place to practice journalism according to the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ).
