Ruto said he had risen from poor background where he sold chicken in the rural countryside of Kenya and that hard work, resilience and trust in God is what had brought him success as a politician, not corruption.
He has previously called himself “hustler” where he said he also sold boiled eggs to residents of Eldoret.
“It is through the hand of God that I am where I am. When God says you will be someone, no human being can undo it,” Ruto told viewers of Citizen TV on Tuesday night, June 2.The DP charged at his political derailers accusing them of dragging his name to every corruption scandal that has rocked the Jubilee government.
In recent days, Ruto has been fighting off accusations that he was involved in a multi-billion saga at the Moi Referral and Teaching Hospital in Eldoret.
He admitted that he owned Weston hotel where a dramatic protest emerged earlier in the year as Langata primary school children brought down a wall the hotel erected on school playground.
